CENTRALE DEL LATTE DI TORINO & C. S.P.A.:
Executes the acquisition of 50% of CLAV Finanziaria S.p.A’s share capital from Centrale del Latte di Brescia and its stake in Centrale del Latte di Vicenza’s capital rises to 82%.

Today, Centrale del Latte di Torino & C. S.p.A. - a company operating in the production and marketing of fresh milk, milk derivatives and ultra-fresh products, listed on the Star segment of Borsa Italiana S.p.A. (Italian Stock Exchange) - has executed the acquisition - from Centrale del Latte di Brescia - of 50% of the share capital of CLAV Finanziaria S.p.A., a company which controls 82% of Centrale del Latte di Vicenza.

The transaction involved a 6,750,000 _ investment by the Turin-based company.

Through this acquisition, Centrale del Latte di Torino has strengthened its presence in Centrale del Latte di Vicenza - which it now controls with an 82% stake -, while Granarolo retains its previous 18% shareholding.

This transaction confirms the strategy of geographical expansion and corporate growth pursued by the Turin-based company, which, by consolidating its own results with the results of the Vicenza-based company, expects to close 2002 with an overall turnover of more than 90 million.
